DESCRIPTION: |
Spring Bulb Flowers in Parallel form
Casey Schwartz and Kit Wertz, the floral design team from Flower Duet will lead a
class in creating a "parallel form" arrangement of spring bulb flowers such as Tulips.
Parallel floral art is composed of two or more parallel designs in an arrangement. The
emphasis is showing straight lines and not allowing stems to cross. Flower Duet will also
teach students techniques on how to make fresh-cut bulb flowers last in floral foam as well
has how to mix bulb flowers like daffodils with tulips. Participants will take home their own
gorgeous arrangements along with helpful tips, where to buy flowers, and step-by-step instructions.

Each student will learn how the Dutch masters composed their paintings and how to "compose" a floral design to achieve the classic art painting look. Flower Duet will also instruct students on the "grid" method for keeping stems in place in wide-mouthed vases and containers. Students will work with roses, delphinium and other seasonal flowers. Flower Duet will also teach students techniques on how to make fresh-cut flowers last. Participants will take home their own gorgeous arrangements along with helpful tips, where to buy flowers, and step-by-step instructions.
